There had been 18,017 bankruptcy filings in the year endecdMarch 31, 2007. During the quarter endeds March 31, there were 13,332 total filing s in the Middle Districtof Florida, includingb 9,687 Chapter 7 127 Chapter 11 filings, and 3,513 Chapter 13 filings. There were 683 business bankruptcies filed in the quarter endedMarch 31, includingf 507 businesses that sought to liquidate througj Chapter 7, and 116 that sought to reorganize theier debts through Chapter 11. There also were a total of 12,6409 non-business bankruptcies filed in the threwe months endedMarch 31.
