The Miami-based cruise company said Friday that the supplement will no longe r apply tonew , and Azamaraq Cruises bookings made on or after Nov. 10, for cruises that leaver on orafter Jan. 1, 2010. For sailings in 2009 and 2010 sailingx that were bookedbefore Nov. 10, the compan will determine, on a quarterl basis, whether fuel supplements will be In June, Royal Caribbeab and Celebrity Cruises announced an increase of its fuel supplement to $10 per per day, not to exceedf $140 per person, per cruise for first and seconds guests. Additional guests were charged $5 per per day, and no more than $70 per per cruise. Azamara charged first and secondguests $15 per per day with no cap.
Additional guests were not Earlierthis month, and announced plans to cancekl fuel supplements for new bookings on 2010 effective Oct. 31. The company also establishedf specific guidelines to reimburse consumers for 2008 and2009 voyages. Roya l Caribbean shares were down 85 centsto $15.25 in afternooj trading. The 52-week high was $43.97 on Dec. 11. The 52-week low was $12.72 on Oct. 10.
