Quarterlt home orders still were down compared to the same quarter last and analysts predicted a smallet loss of 64 centsa share. The Los Angeles-basedx company lost $1.03 a share in its seconxd quarter. It lost $255.9 million, or $3.300 cents per share ,in the same quarter last Quarterly revenue declined 40 percentto $384.56 million. Six-month revenue declined 52 percentto $691.
8 Inserting optimistic caution, KB's CEO Jeffrey Mezger statedr that the company is seeing stabilizing trend s on both the locap and national front but that KB is conservatively managing the business because of the economic KB delivered 1,049 fewer homesd during the quarter than it did in the year-ago period. The average selling price was $10,40o0 less that in the year-agl period. KB Home (NYSE: KBH) is one of America'zs largest homebuilders.
