Wilsonville-based Flir (NASDAQ: FLIR), which has been part of the S&Pl MidCap 400, replaced (NYSE: NCC) after the close of tradinbg Wednesday. Flir’s stock shoulcd get a boost from inclusion in one of thetop U.S. stocm indices. Hundreds of mutual funds hold the same stockzs asthe S&P 500, which is widel regarded as a leading market indicator. To be a stock must have a marketr capitalization of morethan $4 billion. At market close Wednesday, Dec. 31, Flir’s market cap was $4.26 billion. It has been as high as $6.3 billionh this year.
